It all started with a phone call from the Government.

Murphy took the call and immediately put it on the speakerphone

so we all could hear. The Government needed our help,

and was sending transportation for us in the morning.

The next day this helicopter landed on our front lawn, we got

on board and were taken to Washington D.C.

where we met our contact, Mr. Smith.

He is the head of the FBI We knew this was serious. "Poodogs"

I have a special highly confidential mission for you"

said Mr. Smith. "Yes Sir", we all said.

Mr. Smith had explained that the government supplies

free food to all the animal shelters in the United States,

and the last shipment was missing. "How can we help?" asked Pooie.

"You will have to go undercover and find the missing food

and bring the criminals to justice" said Mr. Smith.

Raise your right paws and repeat after me ----------------.

We were sworn in as Secret Agents, we got a badge, and everything.

We were the real thing, just like on TV.

They put us up in this real nice hotel in Washington D.C.

complete with computers and all kinds of special equipment.

We then called all the animal shelters to gather as much

information as we could. We found out that the free food was

shipped to the shelters from this airport in New York City.

So, we took the helicopter to the airport to check it out.

We asked questions, looked at paperwork, and took a lot of pictures.

The next shipment was to be shipped that afternoon,

so we hid and waited. All of sudden we saw the food being

loaded into this really big airplane with funny markings on it.

"Hey, that is not a U.S. plane", said Dulley.

"You're right, lets get a little closer and check this out", said Jerry Lee.

Something looked really funny.

We ran back to our helicopter and waited for the plane to take off.

"Follow that plane", said Sheba. Our pilot followed the plane

to an airport in Florida, where it landed on this deserted airport.

The food was unloaded into a lot of un-marked semi-trucks. "Follow those trucks", said Spencer.

We followed the trucks, in our helicopter,

to this waiting ship at the boat yard.

We had to stop the food from being loaded onto this ship or we would lose it forever.

Our helicopter landed right next to the ship;

we jumped out and ran really fast to the un-marked trucks.

"STOP, this is the FBI", we said. "What are you doing with this food", said Jerry Lee.

The people that stole the food were surprised that six dogs had caught

them RED-HANDED with the goods. We're sorry, said the people.

We were going to load this food onto this boat to be shipped to our "HOME LAND".

"That's against the law", said Pooie. "This food belongs to all the

animal shelters in the United States", said Dulley.

The people told us that in their country they have animal shelters too,

but they didn't have money to buy food for the animals.

We arrested the people, and sent the food back to New York City

where it could be shipped to the animal shelters in the United States.

We took the people back to Washington D.C.

After we put the people in jail, we check out their story.

Sure enough their country was very poor, and couldn't

buy food for the animals in their shelters.

We felt real sorry for all those animals. We had to do something.

"Let's go and talk to the people in jail", said Pooie.

So, we went to the jail and talked to the people who were stealing the food.

The people were really sorry at what they had done, but they had no choice,

they had to feed their animals or they would die.

In their country animals are just as important as people.

They just loved their animals and didn't want to see the animals

go without any food. We told them that animals were special

in the United States as well, but everyone gives just five cents

a year to cover the cost of the food. WOW,

that's not very much at all, said the people in jail.

All of our people could afford that. So, we helped them set

up a plan like the one we use here in the U.S. As it turned out their country

is a lot smaller than ours is, so their people only had to give

two cents a year, and that would be more than enough money

to feed all their animals, plus money left over to put air conditioning

in all their shelters. We told them that our country would give

them enough food for their animals until they could get their own plan working.

The people were very thankful for all that we had done for them.

We also told them that we would let them out of jail to go back

to their country and supervise the plan. "You know there is a lesson here"

, said Jerry Lee. What's that the people said?

"If you need something, it is better to ask for what

you need than to just steal it", said Pooie.

The people understood what Pooie said to them.

We gave all of them great big hugs, and wished them well.

We send some food and the people back to Florida where they boarded

the ship to go to their own country. Six months later we received a letter

and pictures from the people.

They said the plan was working really good, everyone including

the animals were very happy now.

They thanked us all for the love and help we gave to them.

That made us feel real good. Our job was done.

We went back to Washington D.C. and Mr. Smith congratulated

us and gave us all a medals for our fine work.
